BurpCatcher

When her first baby spit up all the time, journalist Margaret Pressler thought something was wrong. She soon found out that spit up is normal and that cleaning it up is just part of motherhood. But after her third child, Margaret wanted to solve the spit up problem. If you can't stop the baby from spitting up, she wondered, can you stop the spit up in its tracks? After experimenting with different kinds of pockets on burp cloths, Margaret finally hit on the right design: a pocket that hangs open without any hardware, snaps or scratchy Velcro. All of a sudden, Margaret stopped cleaning spit up off the floor all day. Even better, holding her baby or handing him over to someone else became worry free. She knew she had to share her idea with the world.
